There's a lot of news out there that jobs are getting cut and no one is hiring. While this is true in some Industries like Amazon, Meta, and Dell, there are other Industries that are adding jobs like crazy and projected to grow strongly through 2030! These jobs involve human skills that can't be replaced by AI or Tech skills. The World Economic Forum lists the most valuable skills for 2025 as: empathy and active listening, creative thinking, leadership, resilience and flexibility, and curiosity and lifelong learning. It might be time to look at where you've succeeded in your career, what you feel that you are best at, where your strengths really lie, and capitalize on those to find a better career or role that will be more rewarding, meaningful, and fit where you are now!

In reality, the job market isn't shrinking at all; it's just shifting. People are moving from one area to another, and the good news is that the US still has millions of open jobs. They just might require different skills or a different industry than you have worked in before. That is why working with a career coach to fine-tune your transferable skills, do targeted networking, and reframe your experiences makes a huge difference.

Instead of asking yourself, “What job should I apply for and get?” Ask: “Where is my experience most valuable in today's market?”

Use those amazing people skills to your advantage; they are needed now more than ever.
